The following are minimum requirements for the theme to operate correctly online.

• PHP >= 5.3
• MySQL >= 5.0
• Wordpress 4.5 or above.

Attention Please make sure you have proper version of Wordpress installed.

Javascript must be enabled on browsers viewing this theme. Though non-javascript browsers are supported, this is necessary for full-feature experience.

In case if you can't check the screencast, following are the key points of the installation:

Following are the key points of the installation:

1. Unzip the package downloaded from Themeforest and locate the file Viral-news.zip. This archive contains theme's core files you need to upload to your server.
2. Upload "viral-news.zip" file to your server via FTP or Wordpress admin UI.
3. Go to Appearance => Themes on admin panel, locate "Viral News" theme and activate it. Once activated, you will be redirected to "ViralNews" option panel and also prompted to install the required plugins. Make sure to install and activate all the required / needed ones.
4. Import the demo content (optional). Go to Appearance => Import demo data section in admin panel. Choose one of the variations of sample content to import (step 1) and click on Proceed. You can optionally import the admin panel sample data (logos, setttings, etc..) by choosing the corresponding version and clicking "Proceed" for step 2. Third step is about importing some sidebar widgets from the demo.

   Important First step requires some time to finish, please make sure to click the "Proceed" button only once and wait until importing process is finished.

Creating a child theme

The theme comes with sample minimal child theme folder which you can find in the archive downloaded from themeforest. You can use it as a starting point to create your child themes.

Key theme customization options are the following:

1. Go to Appearance => ViralNews tab in your admin panel and set your own values (logo, main color, and all other available options)..
2. Go to Appearance => Customize section in your admin panel to use the live customizer in case if you need to make any changes to theme design. Loads of options are available to change via the easy to use user interface.
